In just a couple of weeks we will sneak preview our WRATH OF THE TITANS, starring Alex Bookstein, J.T. Turner, and James Tallach. Coming in at just under two hours, this is going to be a lot of fun for listeners (the monsters are great), and producers Bryan Rothrock and Tom Stitzer have created some amazing effects. Jeffrey Gage and Deniz Cordell have written a wonderful score, and the cast did outstanding work. This show is certainly different for CRT, and we are already looking forward to doing the follow-up, REVENGE OF MEDUSA. WRATH OF THE TITANS is produced in association with Bluewater Productions, and will broadcast on Sirius XM Feb. 10, 17,24 and March 2. It will be released on CD Mar. 30th.

A RAINY DAY IN BOSTON

But it's sunny in the studio as we continue to record music tracks for THE STAR ANGEL! Andrew Monroe and Anastas Varinos will be behind the microphones this afternoon working on one of the big production numbers.

Come join us on FACEBOOK! Looking for 26 more people to hit hit the "LIKE" button to give us a nice round number! On FACEBOOK you can also find our Sirius XM Broadcast schedule thru Dec.30th and also interact with other CRT listeners, cast and production members.

WRATH OF THE TITANS will be released FEB. 22, just in time for the motion picture (March) and the new Bluewater Comic.

Also, these projects have been added to our 2012 production schedule:

LOGAN'S RUN - AFTERMATH
"Logan's Run" returns with an all new action-packed sequel, "Logan's Run: Aftermath." The Thinker is destroyed and the world is in chaos, but Logan wants nothing to do with it. But the world isn't done with him yet and when the lives of Jessica and his son Jaq are put in jeopardy, Logan must once again don his armor. LOGAN'S RUN: AFTERMATH continues Logan's epic journey as he races towards an uncertain destiny.

SINBAD - ROGUE OF MARS
He's sailed the seven seas and explored unknown lands, fought countless monsters and battled evil wizards, but Sinbad's newest adventure may be the greatest, and most dangerous, he's ever had!

Eight years have passed since the assassination of the benevolent Zhar Dadgar and the curious disappearance of his heir. Akhdar, Dadgar's villainous nephew, has usurped the Dozhakian throne and enslaved the Azurian people, igniting a civil war within the once peaceful kingdom. A prophecy foretells the coming of a stranger from a distant land who will vanquish the false king and restore the rightful ruler to the throne. Could Sinbad be that stranger, or is he merely a pawn in Akhdar's treacherous game?

WRATH OF THE TITANS II - THE REVENGE OF MEDUSA
With the Gods humbled and the Kraken defeated, Perseus thought Argos was to enter a Golden Age of peace and prosperity. He was wrong. War drums are beating, the Olympians are again scheming and Perseus' mettle would be severely tested. But there is a new menace neither man nor Olympian could envision. Our WRATH OF THE TITANS is an entertaining roller-coaster ride: This sequel will have more action, more intrigue...and more monsters!

DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE
CRT's third production of a Robert Louis Stevenson classic story. Dr. Henry Jekyll experiments with scientific means of revealing the hidden, dark side of man and releases a murderer from within himself.

More titles coming soon! CRT at 17 is going to be a Very Good Year!

HALLOWEEN RADIO

Just a week away from Halloween, but plenty of time to get a download or CD of a CRT show that will be fun to listen to with the lights out, maybe a candle and some popcorn.

We are happy to present in the October releases, VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS - VOL. 2. Produced in association with Bluewater Productions and the Estate of Vincent Price, these are four chilling tales that make perfect Halloween listening. The programs in this collection include:

THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES – The Deadly Comedy
The disfigured criminal genius Dr Phibes rises from the dead once again to torment his arch-enemy Scotland Yard Inspector Harry Trout with another macabre murder. Phibes has murdered a famous stage actor in a bizarre and grisly fashion, but this is only the first stage of his twisted plan to rid himself of his enemies and achieve his black heart's deepest desire - immortality for himself and his late wife, Victoria.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF THE NIGHT
Children are kidnapped and taken to a secluded compound where they are given new names and then wait to be "adopted" - by parents who are vampires. A very scary episode of Vincent Price Presents!

RUE THE DAY
A high school English class studies Edgar Allan Poe's macabre masterpiece, "The Murders in the Rue Morgue." Inspired by the horrific tale of a razor-blade-wielding orangutan, the brightest and most insane student in the class uses his secret psychic power to carry out a hideous and unimaginable revenge against his classmates.

THE TELL TALE TAPE
Popular radio show couple Benny and Betty have hit a snag in their off-air relationship. Low ratings and a new romantic interest threaten to put Benny out of a job for good. With the stress building, Benny's inner turmoil finally surfaces in a horrific fashion. Will this be enough to silence the voices in Benny's head for good?

POWDER RIVER SEASON 6

Monday we start work on Season 6 of POWDER RIVER. Season 5 is in editing and will start broadcasting in March, but in the meantime I am six scripts into season 6 and looking forward to starting these new episodes, and to welcome some new regulars to the cast. 15 episodes are planned, and production will conclude Dec.19th. I just want to thank all the fans of the show who were a driving force in us continuing the series with Season 5, and I hope that you will enjoy these new adventures in Clearmont Wyoming along the banks of the mighty Powder River.

Some quick updates: Tom Stitzer has completed post production of JEEVES AND THE UNBIDDEN GUEST, and will be starting another project this week.

Theo Mordsey has begun post production on ALLAN QUATERMAIN AND THE LORD OF THE LOCUSTS. This is a feature production, and has a July 9th release date - this is going to be fun, action packed mile a minute summer release!

Bryan Rothrock continues post on WRATH OF THE TITANS, which will be released Feb. 22, and Seth Adam Sher continues post production on POWDER RIVER SEASON 5, and also our re-vamped TICONDEROGA, which will be released this summer.

MJ COGBURN is in post with some new FATHER BROWN episodes that will be released April 13th.

... and those are the projects we can tell you about! There are a few more under the label of PROJECT X that will be announced in the future!

Amazon has released our October releases early - so if you ordered YANKEE CLIPPER, VINCENT PRICE 2, and THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW from Amazon, you should have them by now! Other retail stores will most likely hold to the Oct. 11th release date, but ya never know!

BOOKS A MILLION - the southern book store chain, will be carrying SLEEPY HOLLOW this October - so you can pick up a copy there if there is a store in your area. Okay, enough plugging. Tonight we record the season 5 finale of POWDER RIVER, and there you have it - Season 5 is complete! We start running the show again on Sirius XM starting Nov.28th, which will lead up to the premiere of Season 5 on March 16th. I am sure the usual complainers who hate the show will be very vocal in various forums, but thankfully, fans of the show outgun the haters.

Recording is completed on WRATH OF THE TITANS and the editing is coming along! Bryan is doing a fantastic job in post, and I am looking forward to the final result. As he did with PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, Deniz Cordell is writing the score to this production, and Jeff Gage will be orchestrating it. Like LOGAN'S RUN, the music in this show will have a new "sound" to it - or should I say style.

Coming up we have another FATHER BROWN recording this month, as well as another VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS episode, entitled PAWNS.

THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW - we recorded the main vocals for this on Feb.15, 2005, however it would be 8 sessions as I recall before the show wrapped (three sessions were required for the song FIRE AND THUNDER alone - one for me, one for Joe Z, and one for the chorus). There was a separate session for the prologue voices, a session for the character Derek Aalerud played, a session for the narration, and a re-take session for Joe Z as Brom Bones. In the end, I think we stayed as close to the book as is possible, and Jeff created one of his most beautiful scores. It was the showcase program at our CRT 10th Anniversary Party, and was originally released by Blackstone (they have since recorded another version, bless them) and it is now out for good and always from Brilliance Audio. It was first broadcast on our Sirius XM Show (it was just XM in those days) on Halloween day, 2005, and has run as a special every year since.

We do get the occasional complaints and emails from people saying it isn't violent or scary enough - "he didn't cut off one single head in the whole show" said one kid from New York. That's what happens when folks see the dreadful Tim Burton picture and never actually picked up the original book.

More than a ghost story, or Halloween story, THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW captures the mood, the sights and the aura of autumn in New England. If you live in the desert and have never experienced what it is like to be in new England when the leaves are turning and falling, and the wind gets a bite, and pumpkins spring up - well, this story captures that all on its pages. The undercurrent is, of course, superstition and the paranoia of the leading character, Ichabod Crane, and this compliments the season and the story becomes a ghost story at the harvest dance when the stories are told of the local legends. Washington Irving was an amazing writer. I only hope we did him justice in this radio drama. It was, without question, the hardest script I ever adapted, but the production remains one of my favorites - and Lincoln Clark was born to play Ichabod.

RECORDING CONTINUES

Hi all - we had a GREAT recording session this week and we have wrapped the studio work for WRATH OF THE TITANS. What a fun cast and script! I think you're all going to like this one (unless you don't, in which case - hey, what can I do?)! Some very cool performances!
Next up this week, we record the season 5 finale of POWDER RIVER. Yep, the fall recording schedule is up and running as we record weekly for the next few months.

I have received a few emails from folks wondering why we are about to record season 6 (starting Oct. 17th), and Season 5 has not been on the air or released yet. Each season of POWDER RIVER has 15 episodes; once recorded, each episode takes anywhere from a week to two weeks to edit together. By the time our producer is finished editing the season of episodes, we will already have recorded all of Season 6; this way, when season 5 finishes its premiere run on Sirius XM, it will only be a few months to wait (over the summer) till Season 6 goes on the air. That's better than before - when the show first started, it was year between seasons. We're getting them completed as soon as we can, and I can't wait to see what everyone thinks about them!

AND TO OUR FRIENDS IN THE UK - POWDER RIVER begins SAT. OCT. 1 on POPLAR RADIO

GEAR UP YOUR CRT FOR OCTOBER

It's getting to be that time of year again, and we are hoping you will check out some of our seasonal productions!

THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW is one of our all-time top selling items. It was in the #1 spot of all the various versions of the tale on Audible.com for many years, and won the Gold Ogle Award in 2005. It has also been broadcast yearly on SiriusXM Radio. If you are expecting the Tim Burton version, you best avoid our production - as we stay 100% true to the original tale by Washington Irving. TRIVIA MOMENT: All the names read by the "ghosts" in the prologue are names I copied from the headstones at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Tarrytown, NY.

RAY BRADBURY'S THE HALLOWEEN TREE - was our third collaboration, and Ray allowed me to write the script for this time around! We won the Silver Ogle Award for this production in 2008. TRIVIA: Some critics have complained about the two songs in the production. These songs appear in the actual book, and the lyrics are in italics. Our music composer, Jeff Gage, put music to the lyrics by Ray, and the songs "The Halloween Tree" and "Broomworks" were born - Music by Jeffrey Gage, Lyrics by Ray Bradbury. Now, if we skipped the songs, I bet the same critics would have complained that we did so. You can't win! :)

RAY BRADBURY'S SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. Another show that is perfect for Halloween listening! Make some popcorn, light a few candles, and let Mr. Dark take you on a very spooky journey! Winner of the 2007 Silver Ogle Award.

I can't seem to get the links working - must be a glitch somewhere - but you can find all these titles on Audible, i-Tune, Amazon, and pretty much everywhere.

CRT'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Yes, it's the end of summer, and yes, we still need to get through Halloween with our YANKEE CLIPPER AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE GOLDEN SPHINX and THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, but I wanted to show off the brand new cover art for our re-release this fall of our 2004 production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. The artist is Jeff Hayes, who is designing most of our new covers for Brilliance.

We recorded this version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL in 2004, and it replaced the version we did in 1999, which was available for download only. Our former publisher, Blackstone Audio, released it in a set with our other Dickens Christmas shows in 2007.

Brilliance released it last November, and it will be back THIS Christmas with the new artwork.

THE ALAMO - ON CD

In January of 1999 we recorded THE ALAMO. Originally released on audio cassette (anyone under 20 know what an audio cassette is) , and then for download on sites like Audible and the now defunct Spoken Network.FINALLY it is being released on CD. This version has been re-cut, some sequences re-recorded, and also new sound effects added. Why re-cut it? After years in release I took another listen, and knew I could make it better. An example, the opening scene has a father talking to his son. the actor playing the father then appears in the next scene - at the Alamo. This actor had a very distinctive voice, which I thought he could mask with a different voice, but it didn't work out. So, years later I re-recorded the fathers lines with a new actor, then inserted them into the scene. The one problem was - the original mixing sessions were long gone. I had no track separation (THE ALAMO was edited on a digital work station, not a computer - so storage space was quite limited). So, not only did I have to drop the voice in, but I had to match the sounds I used for the original edit - including matching the ticking of a clock - so the ticks would match! Then I added more to the battle, and also eliminated the scenes with Santa Ana, as our actor sounded more like Bela Lugosi than Santa Ana (Not that I know what Santa Ana sounded like, but I am quite sure he didn't sound like Bela Lugosi).

Soon, the cut was finished, and it remains one of my all time favorite productions that I was able to work on. A rousing score by Jeff Gage (we used many of the tracks several years later for our POWDER RIVER series), and a wonderful cast headed by Bill Hammond as David Crockett and John Schnatterly as William Travis. At the time I was appearing with John in MOON OVER BUFFALO, and invited him to join us at the Alamo. He said yes - and I am glad he did for he is great in this role.

I kept as close to the known facts as I could (even though an erroneous review claimed we have Travis draw the line in the sand - which never appears in the show and was not written into the script - so this critic heard what he wanted to, or expected to hear). So - on March 6, 2012, exactly 176 years after the battle, Brilliance Audio will release our production of THE ALAMO with brand new cover art by Jeff Hayes - and I couldn't be happier!

A QUICK UPDATE

About to head on into an 11am recording session. What's going on in CRT? Lets see; I am writing POWDER RIVER scripts; just about finished with Season 5 and I have 12 stories mapped about for Season 6 (need three more); plus casting continues on shows into Sept. and doing production notes on new edits. Seth is working on POWDER RIVER episodes as well as an overhaul on TICONDEROGA, MJ Cogburn is in post with RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND and about to start on a new FATHER BROWN and then EMERALD CITY OF OZ. Bryan has turned in a great JEEVES AND WOOSTER from a script by MJ Elliott, and is now working on TRAPPED - for Vincent Price Presents. Tony Raymond has completed THE FAMILY OF THE NIGHT (another VPP episode) and is starting on THE BEST IN THE UNIVERSE. In July we have recorded ALLAN QUATERMAIN AND THE LORD OF THE LOCUST, THE GREEN ESTATE, several eps of POWDER RIVER, and began music recording on THE STAR ANGEL.

POWDER RIVER ANNOUNCEMENT

The heat wave continues, and boy was it HOT today here in Boston with temps over 100. Despite the heat, we recorded two more episodes of POWDER RIVER - Season 5, with a two-parter called INTO THEIR OWN HANDS. Very happy with the way it turned out; 15 episodes are planned for Season 5, and we have recorded 8 so far! Two more sessions in August and one in September will wrap the season.

We have decided to continue the series with a sixth season, which will record October thru December, and an additional 15 episodes. We will be adding some new cast members as regulars, and I have several episodes already mapped out. This series has truly taken on a life of its own.

Not sure when these new episodes from Season 5 will go on the air; I won't schedule them till we have at least ten edited; but I am thinking it will be March or so.

Season 1 will return to Sirius XM in November, followed by Seasons 2,3,4.

The series will also be released on Brilliance Audio. Here are the release dates:

NOV. 15, 2011: SEASON 1

FEB. 7, 2012: SEASON 2

Apr. 13, 2012: SEASON 3

June 11, 2012: SEASON 4

(Pictured is Derek Aalerud, as Chad MacMasters. Season 3 artwork by Jeff Hayes.

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Another scorching hot day in Boston - fitting that on a day like that we should record a production set in deepest Africa - and that is just what we did with ALLAN QUATERMAIN And The LORD OF THE LOCUSTS. This story is based on the character created by H. Rider Haggard for KING SOLOMON'S MINES, and the story was written by Clay and Susan Griffith for Bluewater Comics. The graphic novel will be released on Jan. 10th, 2012, and our radio production, dramatized by M.J. Elliott, will be released next summer.

HEAT WAVE

We're in the middle of a heat wave, but that doesn't stop the recording sessions! Tonight we recorded another episode in our VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS series, called THE GREEN ESTATE. starring Alex Bookstein and Kerry Donovan. Both these performers are new to CRT, and after the session I did a COLONIAL RADIO TALK podcast episode with them. Lots of fun!
Another session is set for the morning, followed by another Wed. nite, and then another Thurs. morning! Still have production notes to do on new edits, and still have three scripts to write for POWDER RIVER.
Mark is working on some very amazing things - can't mention them now, but if they come to pass they are going to be very big news!
Very tired, and still a lot to do around here, so I will say goodnight and catch ya on the flip-side!

recording and new shows update

Wednesday we recorded RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND. A very hot and scorcher of a day, but it helped with the tropical feel of the show (not really but it sounds nice). Lots of fun recording this one, and the cast was wonderful. Plans are to broadcast the program as a special on Sirius XM this Thanksgiving, with a CD release next May.

Later this morning its back in the music studio to record parts for two songs for our production of THE STAR ANGEL (Nov. 2012). Lots of work ahead on this one, but it will be worth it in the end.

SPEAKING OF TREASURE ISLAND - our new 2011 production was released this past Tuesday and is now available (Amazon, Audible, i-tunes, etc)

LOGAN'S RUN-LAST DAY was also released on July 5th, and the author of the book, William F. Nolan, will be a guest on The Jordan Rich Show sometime soon. I'll let you all know when I have the date.

Feeling a bit under the weather, so time to call it a day.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Yesterday we started recording the musical numbers for our upcoming production of
THE STAR ANGEL, which is scheduled for a Nov. 2012 release. Kerry Donovan plays the role of "Samantha" and you can see her here recording THE SAME OLD SNOWMAN - which is the opening number in the show. Also, here is a shot of our music master and genius in residence, Jeff Gage, in the music studio. Jeff has scored 99% of the productions we have released over the past 16 years. THE STAR ANGEL is a full length musical, but it is not the first musical we have made. In 2004 we tested the waters with JACK AND THE BEANSTALK. Music recording for THE STAR ANGEL will continue over the summer.

THIS WEEK AND NEXT

We have just recorded THE EMERALD CITY OF OZ, the 6th story in the classic Baum series, and our first OZ production in 11 years. I was very happy with the recording session, and this one will be a lot of fun when it is released in 2012.

On Wednesday morning we start recording music for our production of THE STAR ANGEL, which will be released in Nov. 2012. This is a full length musical, and Jeff has written some incredible songs.

Wed. evening we start on TOM CORBETT - SPACE CADET! This is a feature length stand alone we are making based on the comic series by Bluewater Productions.

Joseph Zamparelli and Anastas Varinos return as Long John Silver and Jim Hawkins in RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND. Production begins July 6th with a script by Gareth Tilley, and the release date set for June 12, 2012. The program will also be broadcast as a special on our Sirius XM Show this Thanksgiving. In the meantime, catch them in the original TREASURE ISLAND, being released July 5th, 2011!

That's all for now :)

GETTYSBURG - JUNE 14th

On TUES. JUNE 14th, Brilliance Audio will release our 1999 production of GETTYSBURG. Running a little over 3 hours, it's an accurate portrayal of the battle and the events surrounding it. It will be available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, other bookstores and download sites everywhere.

Thursday, June 09, 2011

We released THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES on Tuesday, which is exciting (a review from Bradbury Media appears a few days ago in this blog).

There is not a week goes by without my getting an email asking about POWDER RIVER, and when we are going to do more episodes. I'm not kidding, either. Just this week we got a really nice email forwarded to us from our friends at IMAGINATION THEATER where PR runs the first Sunday of the month. In radio, we play to an audience we never see; when letters and emails come in from folks telling me how much they love POWDER RIVER, it really warms the heart.

The picture for this blog entry is POWDER RIVER Co-Star Derek Aalerud in a great illustration by Jeff Hayes.

Our first recording session for POWDER RIVER was on Feb. 1, 2004. Our last recording session for the show was Dec. 18, 2006. In total, we produced 60 half hour episodes (four sets of 15 episodes each in 2 years), and two feature length productions.

On Nov.15th, Brilliance Audio will release POWDER RIVER. Season 1, followed by Seasons 2,3,4,and 5. The Episodes will begin airing on our Sirius XM Book Radio show in November as well.

Tonight, the cast gets together again to begin Season 5, which will include 15 new episodes. Most have been back for other shows over the years, but there are a couple I have not seen since the last session in 2006 - so it will be a nice time I'm sure.

CRT IN JUNE

Busy busy around here. We have three new CD/downloads being released this month:

VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS - Vol. 1 June 7th

RAY BRADBURY'S THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES - June 7th

GETTYSBURG - June 14th

In the studio, we will be recording two more episodes for the Vincent Price series, including TRAPPED dramatized by Deniz Cordell from the Bluewater Comic story by Nick Lyons, and THE BEST IN THE UNIVERSE - dramatized by Jack Ward, from the Bluewater comic story by Paul J. Salamoff.

On June 9th we begin recording new episodes of our western series POWDER RIVER. 15 episodes are planned for this, our fifth season. 60 half hour episodes have already been produced in this series. Recording will continue thru August and the new episodes will begin airing in the Spring of 2012.

June 14th we will be recording JEEVES AND WOOSTER - JEEVES AND THE UNBIDDEN GUEST, from a script by MJ Elliott.

JUNE 23rd - two more POWDER RIVER episodes will be recorded

On June 25th will we record THE EMERALD CITY OF OZ - our sixth OZ story by L. Frank Baum. We haven't recorded an OZ story in 11 years, so this will be fun.

VINCENTENNIAL and CRT

This coming week marks the Vincentennial Celebration in St.Louis celebrating the birthday of the great Vincent Price on May 27th. As I have blogged here many times, CRT has partnered with Bluewater Productions to adapt their comic book series VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS as half hour radio episodes. Only two have been broadcast to date (on Halloween) and next week we will be broadcasting seven episodes on our Sirius XM show to take part in the Vincentennial! Sirius XM Radio Classics will be broadcasting many of Mr. Prices' radio appearances over the years.

In CRT's VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS we do not imitate him, nor try to. We do not use his voice with fancy editing. Instead, we are dramatizing the stories from the comics and we try and capture the mood and feel of his movies. Vincent's daughter, Victoria Price, appears on our CD Release in an exclusive interview with Jordan Rich. She will also be appearing on his weekend radio show on WBZ. I'll post details as soon as I get them.

Here is the line up for our Sirius XM Broadcast next week.

MON. MAY 23: THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES - The Deadly Comedy
TUE. MAY 24: CANUS
WED. MAY 25: ROAD RAGE
THU. MAY 26: WITCHFINDER
*THUR. EVE. MAY 26 7PM: FADE AWAY
RUE THE DAY

FRI. MAY 27: THE TINGLERS

Our new CD, VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS Vol.1 will be released June 7th on Amazon

VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS Vol. 2 will be released Oct. 11th.

CRT on FACEBOOK

We got a message from FACE (lets not leave well enough alone because we have to impress our bosses and make constant changes)BOOK that our Colonial Radio page was scheduled to be archived, and that all the members would be lost. We have close to 350 members - and if we just "updated to the new groups" look, they would need to join again ..... and in three years the same thing will probably happen.

We opted instead to create a fan page. Hopefully this will last longer. Please join us there!

GET READY TO RUN

I just heard our completed production of WILLIAM F. NOLAN'S LOGAN RUN - LAST DAY this afternoon. This is one exciting show! The script by Paul J. Salamoff is fantastic and without question this is one of our fastest moving productions, with the average scene lasting about 3 minutes. It's a roller coaster ride. For those who are not familiar with the story,

It’s the 23rd Century — at age 21 your life is over.

Logan-6 has been trained to kill. Born and bred from conception to be the best of the best. His time is short, but before his life ends he’s got one final mission — find and destroy Sanctuary, a fabled haven for those who chose to defy the system.

When Logan meets and falls in love with Jessica, he begins to question the very system he has sworn to protect. Soon they are both running for their lives.

It's a great book by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson CHECK IT OUT ON WIKIPEDIA.

Paul Salamoff
wrote the script that we used, which is also the script used to create the comic book released by Bluewater Productions. Bluewater and CRT partnered on this audio presentation.

The cast is headed by Tom Berry as Logan 6, Kate DeSisto as Jessica 6, and J.T. Turner as Ballard. Joe Caliendo Jr. co-stars as Francis 7, Deniz Cordell is Gant 5, and in supporting roles you'll hear Joseph Zamparelli as The Warden, yours truly as Whale, Mark Thurner as Titus-9, and Isaac Bean as Charming Billy. Also in the cast are Kerry Donovan, Justin O'Brien, Catherine Benjamin, Amy Sheridan, Andrew Monroe, Noah Greenstein, Lucas Callahan, Heather Colter, and David Smith.

Jeffrey Gage composed the score, and the production was masterfully produced by Seth Adam Sher (Zorro and the Pirate Raiders, Zorro Rides Again, The Martian Chronicles).

LOGAN'S RUN - LAST DAY is based on the original book, Logan's Run, by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson, and also Logan's World and Logan's Search, by William F. Nolan.

Everyone at CRT is very excited about this production! It will be released on CD and Audio Download by Brilliance Audio on Tue. July 5th. You can pre-order it HERE

On Oct 11th we'll be releasing our production of YANKEE CLIPPER AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE GOLDEN SPHINX. Recorded in the spring of 2004, it was our second serial, in 15 chapters, produced immediately after POWDER RIVER (which was only supposed to be 15 episodes total). Although it is now seven years old, it has only been available as a download on three sites, as well as several airings over the past six years on our Sirius XM Radio broadcast.
JT Turner and Joseph Zamparelli Jr. head the cast which includes Jim Murphy, Sam Donato, Jeremy Benson, James Turner, Diane Capen, Lincoln Clarke, and Shane Clarke.
