For the next week you can hear POWDER RIVER - ON THE TRAIL OF THE BIG HORN in a stream on Jim French's IMAGINATION THEATER. This program actually contains two episodes from the series, "The General" and "On The Trail of the Big Horn."
Next month it will be one year since we went on the air with IMAGINATION THEATRE, and every month we get the same six people or so who leave comments like "This show sucks," "It's the worst thing on the air," "The writing is childish - in fact, my nine year old can write better," and "please, please, make this show go away!"
But then we get thirty or more votes and comments monthly from people who like the show, so that's more like it!

Thank you for writing, tac1861! Where do you drive? Thanks for listening!!
I think the great appeal of the Powder River series is the "old style" in which they are written. For those of us who are old enough to have experienced the joys of radio theater as children and even early television we relate on a visceral level and when you add in that western element, it is just pure joy for us. We all played at "cowboys and indians" growing up, so we can revel in the nostalgia of it while we enjoy the gifted performances by the cast and crew. I think as long as there is a baby boomer left with enough money in their IRA for XM radio or an mp3 download, Jerry Robbins will have a source of income! Great work, wish I'd stumbled onto it earlier. And now, onto all your other titles, as I wait for more Powder River... FEED ME! Oh dear, another obsession...
