POWDER RIVER SEASON 7 Vol. 1

POWDER RIVER SEASON 7, Vol. 1. will be released in the next few days. Our new seasons will be 12 episodes, and released in two volumes, in groups of six. This way, we can get them to you sooner. Season 7 was scheduled to go on the air Sept. 27th, and play for 12 weeks; which meant we would go on the air with about 8 weeks worth completed (Editing on the series has stopped so Seth can post our THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, resuming work on POWDER RIVER 7 in September). But, now that we are losing Book Radio, the show cannot start in September, and instead of making everyone wait until November (when the final episodes will be completed) we thought it would be best to release the first six now, and the second half in November - so you have less time to wait for new episodes.

Also, With the exception of TOM CORBETT-2 (Aug), JEEVES AND WOOSTER 3 (Aug), JARREM LEE 6 (Sept), and ALABAMA! (Oct) all our new releases will be available as Downloads only, and will still be available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.

END OF AN ERA

On July 15th, Sirius XM, Ch. 80, Book Radio, will be replaced by a channel that will tell you all you need to know about farming and raising chickens. Colonial has had an amazing 8 years on Sirius XM delivering well over 500 half hour programs. We're very sorry to see it go, and we'll miss our Sirius XM listeners. We hope many of you still visit our website and  facebook page, as something is ALWAYS happening at CRT. Be sure to tune in to CH. 80 on FRI. JULY 12th, at 3am and 12pm Eastern, for a VERY SPECIAL program starring Dibble, repeating SAT. JULY 13th at 9am Eastern.  It will be our final broadcast. Thanks to Steve, Josephine, Maggie and Kim for a wonderful 8 years.

I SAY, FATHER BROWN!

Yesterday we recorded our 25th episode of THE FATHER BROWN MYSTERIES, with J.T. Turner in top form for the afternoon session at the mics - not an easy thing to do since it was a beautiful brisk New England spring day outside. The episode we recorded was THE DAGGER WITH WINGS, with a fantastic script by M.J. Elliott - who has adapted all of our Father Brown productions.  This episode will be included in Vol. 7 of the series, being released in Sept. or Oct.

We have Vol. 6 of THE FATHER BROWN MYSTERIES being released in July! This will be available as download only, at our usual stores (Audible, iTunes, Amazon).  We have been producing this series on and off since 2007, but have recently put it on the fast track and will be releasing new volumes every few months.

Quick update

SO crazy at CRT these days. We have BEACON HILL with eight,1 hour episodes in production thru Aug. 8th (and the final script in the works) - and 12 new POWDER RIVER Season 8 episodes starting production in about 2 weeks; while post work continues on POWDER RIVER Season 7, THE BLACK ARROW, THE WAR OF THE WORLDS and AGENT 13 AND THE INVISIBLE EMPIRE all in post production; and we are also about to continue recording more episodes of THE FATHER BROWN MYSTERIES, THE BURGLARS CLUB, a feature length comedy by Michael Druxman called HAIL ON THE CHIEF, also WAR OF THE ELEMENTALS, TOM SWIFT AND HIS MOTORCYCLE, and three new episodes of THE DIBBLE SHOW.
And that's all before Sept. 1st!
Right now, we are going into a recording session for Episode 11 of BEACON HILL.

Also, the guys at Audio Theater Central did a podcast review of our production of THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER.  YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT HERE

Keeping busy!

AT THE MICS

This past week we recorded episode 9 of BEACON HILL. Had a great session, and it was nice to have the cast together again after 9 months. The series had a rocky start on Sirius XM, due to some programming flubs, so it was hard to get some momentum going; however we are re-running them now, two episodes back to back, so hopefully more listeners will discover the series.  As with most of my shows, it takes a few episodes to figure it out and settle in; but I think we "got it right" now, and we're movin' right along, although I have three more scripts to complete and scheduling remains the hardest part of the process - but it's worth it in the end.  We'll be recording 8 hour long episodes over the summer.  We will record episode 10 in two weeks.  We're sad to be losing Isaac Bean (Robert), after Episode 13, as he will be traveling and unable to record (we will lose him in POWDER RIVER as well), and then it's off to college.  Isaac is a wonderful young actor, and he has brought a lot to the show. We'll all miss him!

Also last week we recorded our 24th episode of THE FATHER BROWN MYSTERIES, titled THE SINS OF PRINCE SARADINE. The show went right into editing, with CRT Producer Tony Raymond, and as of tonight the production is completed!  We are looking for a date to schedule our 25th episode, of which MJ Elliott has delivered the script for - hopefully we'll get it recorded soon. We'll be releasing Vol. 6 over the summer (tentatively July), and Vol. 7 in the fall.  We've been producing FATHER BROWN on and off for the past 6 years, but now we are going full force on it - no prisoners!

Tomorrow night we record a special episode of THE NEW DIBBLE SHOW. We have a small cast on this one; just Dibble, Jake, and Westbrook. Reason being we had to get it recorded, edited, and out the door fast for broadcast -  and it was easier to do it this way rather than scheduling 6 actors. But we're taping three new half hour episodes this summer with the full cast.

We will also be doing some pick ups for our production of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, which is about to go into post production.

POWDER RIVER will begin recording Season 8 in June, with 12 new episodes.

20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA will record in June

AGENT 13 AND THE INVISIBLE EMPIRE still has recording to complete, however the first five scripts are now in post production. Rich Matheson is producing.

Lots going on, and more projects scheduled that we'll mention soon.

It's true! We are going to do the granddaddy of all radio shows; however ours will be the Wells version, not the Welles version :)   Ours is set in Victorian England, as was the book.  We're very excited to start production on .....

Time Flies!

BEACON HILL scripts have been keeping me from posting here as much as I would like. 8 scripts at 70 pages each takes a lot of time; also been sketching out the episodes for POWDER RIVER Season 8, plus a lot of recording sessions these past two months. So, that's my excuse!

We have a few new FATHER BROWNS completed. These will be playing first on our Sirius XM show starting this week - on First Run Fridays. We have re-vamped our FATHER BROWN series with a great new music score by Jeff Gage, and a new look on the cover art.  MJ Elliott continues to write the series, and these new episodes were edited by Theo Mordey and Tony Raymond.

Also, we started work on two new series; THE THINKING MACHINE, based on the short stories by Jacques Futrelle, being dramatized for us by MJ Elliott,  and THE BURGLAR'S CLUB, by Henry A. Hering, being dramatized by Gareth Tilley. Both shows will be broadcast on our Sirius XM show this April and May.

Recording has begun on our production of Flint Dille's and David Marconi's  AGENT 13 AND THE INVISIBLE EMPIRE. Theo Mordey is producing, Jeff Gage is scoring the show, and it has been dramatized by Deniz Cordell.

THE ALL NEW DIBBLE SHOW will be back this summer with all-new episodes.

POWDER RIVER - SEASON 8 will begin recording in April. We will be reducing the episodes for the season from 15 to 12

BEACON HILL will begin recording 8 new hour long episodes starting in May.
